Foster carer support - by your side all the way

We believe that foster carers who feel supported, and confident in their role are more likely to be better placed to support fostered children. Our supervising social workers are just one of the ways we aim to offer the best foster carer support. We allocate each foster family a supervising social worker who will be on hand, supporting both the foster carer and the foster child.

Of course. Fostering can be difficult sometimes and, like everyone, foster carers sometimes need a break. We offer our foster carers respite should they need it.

Fostering is extremely rewarding, but it can have it’s challenges like anything else worth doing. One thing for sure is that when you foster with us, you will never feel alone, or unsupported. One call to our 24/7 support system, day or night will ensure that.

Foster children may have suffered previous traumatic experiences, and sometimes they may need specialist support. As we are a part of DMR Services, we offer a complete wrap-around service to local authorities, ensuring continuity to fostered children  – so usually, any specialist support from professionals including clinical psychologists, counsellors and social workers is provided internally, by people you may have already met when you joined our team.
