Alison is a Qualified Social Worker (DIPSW with Commendation) with over 20 years’ extensive field and peripatetic experience of working with Children and Families. She began her Social Work Career in the Birmingham Children and Families Team. Her previous roles include Registered Manager, Regional Operations Manager, Fostering Services Manager where she achieved Outstanding outcomes. She was the Agency Decision Maker for the Fostering Service which included Quality Assurance, chairing Fostering Panels and involvement in the selection process for future Foster Carers. Alison has also undertaken Designated Safeguarding Officer Roles in her previous organisations. Her peripatetic work includes completing comprehensive competency based Form F assessments, working with perspective Foster Carers and their support networks, attending panel to present final reports, Life Story Work, Family Group Conferencing, Parenting and Special Guardianship Order assessments. Alison is also an Independent NACCC Accreditation Officer.
